SD Meetings & Events was founded by Erin Scholes in 2013. She combined her passion for meetings and events with the desire to help others and was able to create a sustaining meetings and events management company.
Erin’s background includes over 15 years in hotel and event management including eight years as the Director of Catering & Convention Services at a luxury property in downtown San Diego. Her experience with hotel operations and on a hotel executive committee gave her the leadership and business skills to create SD Meetings & Events.
Over the years, Erin and the SD Meetings team have been recognized by numerous awards and recognition. An MPI member since 2000, she received the prestigious MPI Chair’s Award at the 2018 World Education Congress.
