Our mission is to be a business people trust. A business that enhances every project in order to exceed expectations. It is our job to find the root of WHY you are hosting the meeting, your goals, and then curate the best environment to achieve those goals.

Our vision is to create authentic and unique experiences for our clients and their attendees that stand out against other businesses.


SD Meetings & Events was founded by Erin Scholes in 2013. She combined her passion for meetings and events with the desire to help others and was able to create a sustaining meetings and events management company.

Erin’s background includes over 15 years in hotel and event management including eight years as the Director of Catering & Convention Services at a luxury property in downtown San Diego. Her experience with hotel operations and on a hotel executive committee gave her the leadership and business skills to create SD Meetings & Events.

Over the years, Erin and the SD Meetings team have been recognized by numerous awards and recognition. An MPI member since 2000, she received the prestigious MPI Chair’s Award at the 2018 World Education Congress.


Our team is invested in your success as much as you are! When working with SDME, you will receive a dedicated member of the team to work with you from start to finish. Your dedicated team member will assist you from contract negotiation, registration and exhibit management to mobile apps. We have strong relationships and a network of preferred partners who can offer catering, audio visual, décor, transportation, graphic design and marketing.
